How is the graphics card on this? Don't game, but am taking a course in Game AI and will be doing programming using the Unity Game Engine.

If it was intel processor would have been good deal. Having to research whether this ryzen apu is actually the new 7000 or previous apu is terrible.

Except for the newest core ultra series from Intel, This is highly competitive and perhaps more efficient. This is top of the line Zen 3 mobile CPU with RDNA 2 graphics.

So the 7736U Uses 680M graphics, but the 7840U uses 780M graphics. Pretty damn annoying they have all these different SKUs to purposely confuse the average customer.

Not that theres a huge difference, but they are being scummy.

There is a huge difference. 7736 is a 6800 while 7840 is the new 7800.

Old AMD, 16gb ram.. this is not good pricing nowadays. There are deals to be had everywhere folks.

Wish OP would use more discretion posting deals. It ain't 2021, or even 2023 anymore.

I'm confused. The chip was released in January 2023. Where does your reference to 2021 come from?

If this wasn't a good deal, it would get downvoted. OP doesn't need to use any more discretion unless a majority thinks this isn't a good deal, which so far isn't the case. Your opinion is in the minority. And there's more to laptops and pricing than just the processor and RAM. This is not a standard run-of-the-mill consumer laptop, and comparing it to such shows a lack of technical knowledge.

People really out here wanting something for nothing… The 5G modem in this is part of why it's a good deal. Move along if you didn't need that, I'm sure you can find something cheaper/more powerful for your use case.

Strange that HP chose to name this thing the "Dragonfly Pro," when they already had a "Elite Dragonfly" in the business line, now just "Dragonfly." The Dragonfly is one of the lightest business laptops available, at about 2.4 lbs; this "Pro" is heavier by a pound, making it one of the heaviest 14-inch laptops you can buy. There's nothing especially "pro" about it.
