Did I misunderstand your question? Kharvel's First Law: Greed is Good™
Kharvel's Second Law: If it is good for the goose, then it must always be good for the gander. Kharvel's Third Law: Opinions are like as*holes, everybody has one |

Does he really think by giving them the legal ability to work they will finally be able to fulfill their life long dream of serving fast food or greeting people at WalMart? bitter Pennsylvanian clinging to my guns and religion.. Obama called it out in 08.

I see this Hispanic thing as a rope for the GOP. Obama will give them as much as they need. And the more Obama kicks them in the ass the louder they will bark and Hispanics will become even more alienated from and pissed off with the GOP. This will bite hem in the ass for years to come. Too bad when they are in a ditch, they do not have the sense to stop digging. Hey maybe they will eventually reach get the other side of the world and get out of the ditch. ![]() Dig baby dig ! |

What a courageous display of honesty. Much appreciated. |

Kharvel, the only problems with those theories, is that businesses will still need people with good jobs and money in order to buy their products!
Illegal immigration drives down wages and forces the current workers out of work *right now*. The prices, we can expect, will drop, but that is faaarrrrr down the road. Between illegal immigration, and outsourcing and moving production overseas, US workers are f*cked! But, hey, at least we have cheap crap in the stores, but now we cant even afford that!!

As per companies organizations that employ illegal aliens.. we've come down hard of them and this was cheered for I believe on both sides.. I would think the laws should just as harsh on both sides, company and individual. I would think twice about this work visa because I can see this whole "executive order" unraveling and being nullified. Then we have documentation on where some illegals reside and the original law would require them to be deported. What if Romney wins the presidency and gives an executive order that contradicts Obama's? I mean basically we're essentially changing laws here because it's the right thing to do.. What if Romney runs on a campaign to put out an executive order there will be universal healthcare? Or change the abortion timeline, hell even make it illegal. Apparently we now live in country run by monarchy, so why not? |

You can "round up" all undocumented workers, and imprison and deport them at their own expenses. I guess that would be "legal." Many atrocities has happened under the color of law. When blacks were slaves, it was the law that counted them 3/5. I bet many things that hitler did to Jews were "legal" too. Just because something it legal, it is not necessarily moral. Deporting people who have been here almost their entire lives and now have lives and families established here is immoral. Yanking little kids out of schools and sending them to detention while waiting for deportation is immoral. Etc etc etc. Carry on. |

The whole discussion of what to do with these law breakers goes out the window. Comparing illegals to victims of slavery and the holocaust, does nothing for your argument. You should know better.... Here's a better comparison; Let's say you have a house on the market for sell, and a couple of squatters take up residence. Let's say it's a family of squatters. Do you just allow them to stay? Just tell them, I know you broke the law by taking over this house I own and am trying to sell, but here you go, take the keys. Youve been living here a few months now, so you deserve the house. Its yours now. Sure it will put me out a couple hundred thousand dollars, but that's cool. Or perhaps the goverment comes to you and says, you know that house you have for sell, well we are giving it to this family who has been living in it illegally. You can't expect them to leave now! They've already made it their home... How would you feel about your home, your property in that situation? |
