eBay Neutral or Negative Feedback
September 6, 2018 at

As a buyer on eBay, I recently purchased two items from two different sellers where the items' condition was not as described and missing parts. In both cases, I initiated a return through eBay, sent the items back to the sellers and received a refund? Do the sellers in these situations merit a neutral or negative feedback?
On another purchase made through Buy it Now, shortly after purchase I received a refund from the seller with a reason that the item had been sold to another buyer. Does this seller merit neutral or negative feedback?

DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY
In your situations, I'd go either neutral or nothing, since the sellers cooperated without your needing to escalate the matters.
I saw what was happening and left the guy positive feedback just for the hell of it Worked out for me Got my refund. And kept my rating intact. He gave me positive feedback. LOL.

Same as buying from a store. If you buy something and return it for a full refund do you go tell all your friends that the store sucks?

If the merchandise looks like it has been opened/ used/ missing parts and not sold as open package or in the discount section which might imply it was open package and I think it is the stores fault verses the manufactures fault and I have to take time to drive back to that store and run in to get my refund then yes I would tell people I had a bad experience at that store.
The one possible exception might be in the cases of the items not being as described. If it could be be just an honest mistake or difference of opinion I wouldn't leave negative feedback, but if the seller had been clearly deceptive and trying to hide something I would be more likely to leave negative feedback or at least neutral, but also mention that the item had been accepted for return.
Having something sold to another buyer sucks but it happens. Often people have things for sale on different platforms and once in a while timing is going to get crossed. Sucks but it does happen.
