The crap your pants advice has been out there for decades. It seems reasonable. What is there to apologize for. If it doesn't work, you you have only crapped your pants which is pretty minor compared to having been raped.

Seeing as that 80% of rapes are by someone you know, not some intruder breaking into your home, telling them you're menstruating or vomiting on them might make that person think twice. If a woman is in a date rape situation, which is quite common, telling them you're on your period may very well work. I think people are overreacting to this.

And bringing in a political shot here by saying this could be a "new liberal plan" is just farking stupid. This isn't political. That is, unless we're talking about whether the rape was legitimate.

It works. My friend awoke to an intruder in his home. He grabbed a bat and started smashing his stuff - TV, lamps, etc. The intruder GTFO like nobody's business. Maybe crapped his pants on the way out.

If I am in the process of getting raped, I will do anything to stop that from happening. Shitting, vomiting, urinating all seem reasonable deterrent to me. If you are getting raped, why not try?

True, any form of resistance will reduce the chance of actually being raped. The more vigorous the resistance, the more likely the woman will prevail. I think the moronic part is the idea that this is peddled as a better plan than possessing a weapon to include a firearm. But for the weakest and most vulnerable young ladies who have been deemed unworthy to possess firearms due to their age, vomiting and pissing might be the best weapon available.

The thing that makes this political is the political agenda of the left to remove better means of resistance. This is along the lines of the discourse that says "the people are starving for lack of bread? Let them eat cake." You're trying to you determine the actions of a felon. What's to stop him from then not raping.. but instead beating you to a bloody pulp because you crapped on him (also I don't think crapping on him was one of the advised actions).

Here's another twist... There are actually fetishes that involve vomit and/or feces. It may turn the rapist on more.
