I rarely pay much attention to lyrics.

I heard Suzanne Vega's "Luka" the other day, and didn't realize when it was popular that it was about abuse.

i can probably count on two hands the number of songs which have actually affected me on a significant emotional level in my life, but due to some recent developments, this is the only one that i have a hard time finishing without tearing up a bit.
