Nice, now there is a health care worker who may have been exposed to the first Ebola patient who is now on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. Facepalm

Sounds like it would have been a limited exposure, maybe having handled clinical specimens at the hospital, but it is certainly causing some panic with the cruise ship. Belize has refused entry for the ship or passengers into its port.

Possible Ebola case in Washington on a bus at the Pentagon.

Quote :
(Reuters) - The Pentagon confirmed an Ebola scare on Friday in one of its parking lots when a women who recently traveled to Africa vomited after getting off a bus headed to a high-level Marine Corps ceremony.

Few details were immediately available about the woman, who was described by one defense official as a civilian and not a Defense Department employee. Officials said they did not know exactly where she had traveled to in Africa or whether she had a fever.

The Pentagon said she was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital at 9:53 a.m. (1353 GMT), 43 minutes after Pentagon police identified her.

The Pentagon said the general area of the parking lot where she vomited was closed off, as was one of the Pentagon's entrances, "out of an abundance of caution and to allow the investigation to proceed."

After the woman departed, the bus continued toward the ceremony but it was later held, with its passengers on board allowed off for "comfort breaks," the official said. The current status of the bus was unclear.

Not true ... Nono2 ... I always blame Democrats, stupid people (sometimes they're the same thing), and THEN the gays.

It wasn't so long ago that marriage was God punishing us for straight people...
For some, marriage was God's punishment for drinking too much.

Or was that pregnancy? Scratchchin

I always get those two mixed up.

Twenty-one. I have it on good authority that it must be 21.

According to NPR just now, the 'health care worker' was actually the supervisor in the blood lab that tested the blood of the patient who died from ebola. She's in 'self quarantine' on the ship and is on day 19 with no sign of fever or illness.

Don't ya know the rest of the passengers are pissed? They got denied entry to the port and had to turn back early.

Yeah the one on the airplane is more worrying, since she was running a fever the next day, might have been feverish on the flight, who knows but her temp wasn't checked until the next day.
