1) Humans lived a long time back in the day (Adam lived for hundreds of years) and Cain took one of his sisters as a wife. 2) Adam and Eve were merely the first humans created by God as special. That is, the first two Jews. The rest of the humans were essentially beasts. If I appear to be ignoring your posts, it's probably because you are on my ignore list.

It is well enough that the people of this nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. -Henry Ford |

Science is much more than a body of knowledge. It is a way of thinking. This is central to its success. Science invites us to let the facts in, even when they don’t conform to our preconceptions.

BTW science isn't biased against Christianity - it is biased toward REALITY. |

Scientists are not convinced there is a gay gene. Scientists are pretty sure that sexual orientation has a biological basis. For example, the environment in the uterus during development may play a role based on the hormones of the mother. This could effect certain things in development, which may or may not be controlled by genes, but the claim that science thinks there is a 'gay gene' is a simplistic strawman. Some people misunderstand biology so much that they think anything that is congenital, must also be hereditary, and if it's not genes, then it is a choice.

For a smart site like SD, it is extremely disappointing that almost 35% believe in the creation silliness re the age of the earth. This is why much of the rest of the developed world smiles down upon us as childish and uninformed. It's quite embarrassing actually.
