Well considering the Bible talks about the extended life of humans during that time, as the firmament was still in tact, I would say the first explanation is correct.

Considering out knowledge of modern cosmology and planet formation (and the actual source of rain for that matter), do you really still believe the sky is a solid dome? Do you have any other explanation of the Hebrew word raqiya?

Actually, it agrees with reality. It is just a coincidence that reality has a liberal bias.

Perhaps because the genes that control attraction tend to lean that attraction toward members of the same species. Otherwise they would be pretty useless. Duhhhh

Funny, I didn't know God belonged to Christianity. The existence of a God and any evidence thereof doesn't support Christianity one iota. In fact I'm pretty sure if there is a God he/she/it has ZERO to do with The Bible or Christianity.

BTW science isn't biased against Christianity - it is biased toward REALITY.

We've been over this before with certain posters, but for some reason they tend ignore things that poke holes in their arguments.

Scientists are not convinced there is a gay gene. Scientists are pretty sure that sexual orientation has a biological basis. For example, the environment in the uterus during development may play a role based on the hormones of the mother. This could effect certain things in development, which may or may not be controlled by genes, but the claim that science thinks there is a 'gay gene' is a simplistic strawman. Some people misunderstand biology so much that they think anything that is congenital, must also be hereditary, and if it's not genes, then it is a choice.

Here is one aspect of science/logic: cause and effect are not symmetrical and can't be switched.

It is always hilarious when someone is wiling to claim something like "wet pavements cause rain."
