Is this similar to flux paste for soldering conduction?

A narrow strip cut off a plastic credit card also works as a spatula.

This is why it could be on sale perhaps? Trying to clear out old inventory that's about to expire.

They say shelf life is around 3-4 years. They also say that once applied this stuff should last 7 or more years...

Doesn't this stuff expire/have limited shelf life? I recall how these(thermal pastes in general, ceramic based being more prone if I recall correctly) have a limited shelf life?

Don’t listen to the idiots using there fingers. Absolute morons. This spatula is worth it. Sometimes I’ve used a small hard a cardboard cutout.

You don't use your finger tip in order to avoid introducing contaminants to the paste/cpu surface. Use a clean edge of something easily cleaned like a credit card, old rewards member card often...

I used the same tube of ceramique for many years, seems to work fine, good temperatures, easy to spread, good consistency, and also importantly hasn't failed to relatively easily come off when...

I've always used old gift cards and what not.

$15.99 is a bit of a stretch... Had always been $6.50-ish on Amazon. Granted with the spatula, which I don't care for and definitely not worth 10 bucks

Just put in the new chip and I have to admit that little spatula was actually kind of handy.

I have been always using arctic silver, is this one better than that?

You convinced me.. I also paid the extra 50 cents for the spatula just to try IDK.. Probably more than I need, but good to know I have some on hand if needed.. I plan a 5600 build in the near future.

For anyone that used my link for the 8g tube, mine arrived today. It had an authenticity sticker on it with a gray scratch-off section like you find on a lottery ticket. I scratched it and scanned...

It's not a simple spatula. It's Pioneer Woman branded and floral. I use her branded thermal paste too. It's made with a cup of mayonnaise and it keeps me warm in winter.

Does anyone know if thermal paste expires? I got a 12g of arctic silver 5, but it's been sitting in my closet for over 7 years now. Seems to be fine but I'm not a engineer.
