Until the 13600K I would have said go Ryzen. However, this is the first value CPU from Intel I've seen in a long time. Every review shows it beating the 5900X.

There is no more upgrade room, the 7000 series uses a completely different socket. 5000 series is the last compatible cpu.

Since this platform is now end of life get a x570. It will give you some room to upgrade later. Gigabyte X570 Aorus series has been fantastic for me.
