Yes you can. But one ram stick will not be able to utilize dual channel mode. You'd lose out a bit on performance. But if you don't plan on optimization anyway, it probably won't matter.

You'd be fine with 3200MHz, but if you want to spend $7 more and OC the memory to 3600MHz which would give you better performance out of the I7, I'd go with a pair of these TeamGroups from Newegg.
