That’s odd. Mine has a plastic ring. I’ve had no issues with how it operates. As far as I can tell, it’s practically a normal k cup without all of the extra plastic.

Same here. I reuse the same gal ziplock bag. The taste isn’t any worse than any other k cup. It’s on par with Green Mountain for me.

I have the same experience, and haven't had any issues with any k-cup. I also leave the opened bag in a air tight container and that's my small issue, I cannot put these in the coffee k-cup organizer...

Not really, last time I bought was over 6 months ago and it's expiry is still into early 2023, so, at least a year or so expiry date.
