You're comparing an OLED panel to an IPS panel. The difference between 120hz and 165hz would be imperceptible to most eyes. It's possible the refresh rate on the Legion display model was set to 60hz....

I physically saw the model on display in BestBuy and the 120hz sucks. Lags as hell
Acer Predator with 165hz was much smoother and its $1079 for this weekend sale.
