Assuming you have a modern cpu, upgrading is probably pointless at 4k gaming.

a bit harsh.. but i certainly agree. You should not really consider this CPU unless you really understand what you are getting. For 99% of the people out there at 7800x3d OR the 7900 are better...

Horrible cpu. Slower than all other AMD options in gaming and productivity. 7800x3d or 7900 non 3d.
