For up to 80 foot pounds this Made in Taiwan Neiko below agrees well enough with my CDI (Snap On) torque wrench (admittedly, in my not so scientific bench test). Neiko PRO 03707B 3/8" Torque...

Dunno if it's a joke but lug nuts require ft lbs

I have this. Use it to tighten the lug nuts on my car. It seems to work well. No problems so far. Price is great when compared to the other big box stores

I am in the market for a torque wrench. I read 83 posts/6 pages of people complaining about the quality of this thing but no one offered an alternative :(

I had one of these and it didn't always "click". Found out the hard way and ended up over torquing a screw on my fork and needed a new damper. I only use beam style torque wrenches now (I own two, a...

If you plan to use a torque wrench daily, these probably aren't for you. If you use a torque wrench once and awhile to tighten lugs/bolts, then this might just be what you need.

I bought one from HF more than a decade ago, and it's been ok. However, I've read that the current $20 HF (not the Icon) models are not good at all. Again, I use it on my cars when needed. I...

If all you're doing is lug nuts, then Lexivon will probably be sufficient. However, the Harbor Freight ones are cheaper (and sometimes go down to $12).

well, we all want the best, but considering the price point of $27. It is just as good as the ones that cost many times more according the video. I think I am ok to have my wheels torqued at 88 lbs...

I disagree. Getting reliably accurate torque is just as important for DIYing as working professionally. As long as the work is done correctly, your car doesn't care who's working on it.

very interesting video. I suppose you get what you pay for. As other stated, this $27 torque wrench is probably good for the part time diy people.

I own a good few Lexivon items. I like their adapters and some of the random sized sockets as beaters to use on the cars, and haven’t had issues with them (probably wouldn’t hold up in a high-use...

Even then, and even if the cheap torque wrench is off by a fair margin, it's still better than the guys using an air impact at the tire shop or half the dealers. If they say they check every lug with...

Most errors from over torquing is not from the torque wrench. It's people hearing multiple clicks, then stopping. One click, you're done. Move to the next.
