I’ll wait till this gets much cheaper. Or ryzen 9000 becomes really compelling and I’ll make the jump. Ryzen 7000 isn’t that much better than this 5900x in this price range, in fact isn’t as good...

Sounds reasonable. I had 4000cl19 2x8gb (cheap Patriot B-Die) in the machine already and got a matching 2x8gb set (exact same PN) for $55 last week, so I'm bought in to that B550 MB.
