Looks like they didn't want to add all the decals to the plane to make it accurate. I mean, I don't really blame them, but it's not entirely accurate, and I'm sure not going to look for replacement...

Use a little soapy water spray, it’ll let you position the sticker and just fully press it down when it’s perfect. It’s how Lego does it internally.
