Pretty much a moot point on this tool. I use this tool all day on a single 2AH battery with no problem so battery life isn't an issue. And if you wear out the brushes on this tool, I'd be impressed....

Work cuts up to 1". The DeWalt does up to 1-1/2" which is a huge difference so I would definitely go with the DeWalt.
