Cost is the only reason something like this would make sense, and did for me. It doesn't make sense at normal prices, but when you find the right deal at clearance prices it can. If costs were...

The original post is likely referencing something like the Dell DA-2 adapter which has a unique molex-style connector, 12V output, and very high wattage ratings of 200W and above (in contrast to...

In defense of the case, at least it should be an improvement over the old BTX-style which reversed the orientation of the slots relative to every other commercially available motherboard. Although...

Would it be relatively simple to run a laptop power brick (like a dell 330w you can pick up on ebay cheap) and adapt that to power the GPU? Yes it is 2 power cables, but some of us would not care.

Proprietary Power Supply, Proprietary Motherboard and Proprietary Case, only good for grandma, in any case try to avoid this type of product at all cost.

I generally agree, as noted in my later post. I'll add a link to that in the original comment. Good luck! Jon

This is terrible advice. The 5600G performs very similarly or even better than the gt 1030. Adding that card would be a complete waste of money.

Open yours and look at the label on the power supply, there were many different wattage supplies in these. If it's 180w like the one this thread is about, your options are very limited. A usb3 to...

It benchmarks a little faster, specs look a bit better aside from less ram, yes in general I would take that over the one in this thread. Perfectly capable office PC, but not a significant or...

Yes, a GT 1030 is unable to run anything modern at this point. It's 5x weaker than a GTX 980 which is already barely able to keep up.

Most of your points are valid, but I'd take that long-term storage comment with a grain of salt. I have read that flash storage and SSD's that are offline for extended periods of time (years) may...

I'm confused at what you're talking about here. The specs list 12GB of ram, which presumably is 4GB and 8GB - so 8GB would be dual channel. I assume you could swap the 4 for an 8 with minimal power...

The standard desktop size is more expandable and upgradeable and repairable, depending on power supply. Even if it's brand specific parts like some of the HP parts, if some part dies you can just hop...
