Yes but drills are nice because you can dial in how gentle you want it to be. The difference of blowing through your material vs sinking a screw perfectly every time

It’s the same thing. 20V is just max, 18V is the nominal power. Marketing bs.

I bought the 887 first, built a lot of home projects, including a DIY shed. I used it working for an electrician, he said I should have gotten the 12V. Weight is similar, but the size is smaller. Got...

Last year, I paid for a 20v impact with two batteries!

Use one of the higher amp batteries that has a flat bottom and the tool will stand upright and take some of the masculinity out of the 12v.

I also appreciate the 12v size/wt advantage for home use. I use Bosch flexiclick as my goto driver (better than ugly milwaukee design). I do not have this dewalt tool but if you gonna have a single...

I agree I got this one last year and it's become my preference around the house. I have the 20v impact and driver. The 12v is just so light and compact for everyday stuff that I rarely use the 20v....

I have the 20v stubby 1/4" DeWalt, this one, and the 12v Milwaukee fuel one. I always go for this one due to the fact that it's lighter the LEDs are brighter than the rest due to the halo ring up...

Echoing others about small size and weight being a plus. Small battery helps. I find I use my small tools more. Hammers, tape measures, impacts, anything light is just leagues better in real use.

The 12v battery works on the 20v charger, so basically the same battery line if you've already invested in the 20v line

Same here, have the 887 and 850, still grab this I'm unless I absolutely need the power of the 20v tools. This one is just feels better. I've purchased most of the 12v line since, the...

It’s a great unit and line for smaller home improvement project. We bought my son the 12v drill and I actually find myself grabbing it more for smaller projects due to the smaller frame and lighter...

Dewalt is still developing their 12v line - your comment implies it’s dead or something. There are some downsides (tool coverage) but for some use cases (most homeowners) 12v is a better fit. It’s...

To be honest, the fact that this battery charges in most Dewalt chargers and this is as powerful as the top of the line drivers on the "2" setting it's really not bad. That said M12 is still imho a...
