Cat5e supports 2.5g. But like other similar cables, it depends on the length. It's possible you'll find some of your runs work for 2.5g, and some longer ones don't.

It depends on the length of the link too. Over shorter distances lower categories like cat5e may be able to do 2.5 or 10 G.

CAT5e actually bumped to 2.5G (that was kinda the point), CAT5 was 1G although most good CAT5 will do 2.5G fine.
