OOS. There’s no best way to pull wire. Fish tape, fiberglass rods, pull chains - it’s all situational but never hurts to have multiple options to see what’s best for a given situation. Like this...

I can't confirm it, but plaster walls, most of the time, use a metal wire mesh. I'm assuming that the metal mesh would not let the puller function properly.

LOL - I'm with you. I used anything from heavy chain to a Maglight (anything I could secure cable/wire bundles to) to pull through cables/wires in my house.
