Latest update was 3/29. Previous version was released 2/21. So I would say yes for now.

Totally forgot that the GT 1030 lacks support for NVENC(!). This is especially crazy in the context of the other common OEM card I can imagine for PCIe x4 being the RX 6500 from Dell Precision...

The GT1030 doesn’t have hardware acceleration av1, but thanks for the answer. I might just upgrade to a current generation card instead of buying another gpu just for av1

Can I use this on a pcie 3.0 x4 slot as a second gpu? There's no power connector and pcie 4x isn't rated to the full 75 watts it needs. I just need it for av1 encoding so it's probably fine if I...

True - the Wyse 5070 extended is about $80 and gives you 6 monitors, but uses a tiny AMD video card to do that. Without the card, you can get the 3 display version for about $40 - $50.

Cool. I'll be doing light CAD work for engineering classes so this will likely end up being overkill for my needs, but I'd rather have too much computing power than too little.

The Intel would function on PCIe 3.0 but the real question for that system is the intended application:
Drive one or more additional productivity (non-gaming) displays?
Shouldn't really matter as...

You should consider a NUC -> https://www.asus.com/displays-desktops/nucs/nuc-mini-pcs/ it supports(four) 4K displays without the need of a discrete graphics card!
