I use a small one (31 gallon) on my front porch for deliveries. It's not locked, but out of site, out of mind, and protects from the rain. I'd say 90% of deliverers use it, only a few don't.

You know your plastics, this is true, I've tried spraying "UV protectors" and it doesnt work long term. You will have to do monthly or frequent respraying to keep it healthy, which 95% of you wont do.

So this is not very good for actually storing stuff outside. It's plastic which could possibly release chemicals into the air if used inside.
Bugs can get inside. Moisture can get trapped.
