I'd recommend a finer compost spreader. Lots of wood chips, rocks and other non soil stuff that would prevent good emerging grass seed growth.
I get way more of "crap" in this 0.75 cubic foot...

For clarification: each bag is 4.58 per. They are very schemey when they do this. I’ll tell u why… on the website the price says 2.29 per and it’s Also BYGY as well. so I call the Lowe’s in my area....

Most soil can stored up to 6 months. I cant say how long it's sitting on the lot but direct summer heat matters. I would say under a patio or basement storage is ideal. Best of luck!
