bought this one and returned the $120 Costco clearance Cuisinart. Both have solid cast bases and similar bowl lock feature. My previous Cuisinart latest 16yrs before the bowl cracked and wouldn't...

The Cuisinart Classic Food processor (with "on" and "pulse") is still made extremely well and lasts a long time. Same for a Kitchenaid stand mixer. People should spend a little more and not cheap...

Wife was nagging me for a food processor, this would of been one to get if sam's club weren't giving them away for free last night.

So comparable low quality? 💩 People should stop expecting the decades long lifespans. They don't exist anymore. Save your money.

These are not comparable. This is a low quality product that likely will not last a long time. Quite frankly, I don't think the Cuisinart in this thread is as good as their classic model.

I just got this from target for $60. 500w 12 cup. Seems pretty comparable. And easy to return with target. I've only used it once to shred a potato but it destroyed it in five seconds. ...

The classic Cuisinart models are still the gold standard for food processors (outside of maybe Breville). I've had my 11 cup for 10 years and it's an absolute workhorse. The Kitchenaid stand mixer of...

i'm sure it can shred potatoes, but it's no dicer. not sure if there's a dicer attachment for it. that alone was a dealbreaker for me on their 14 cup unit. ended up with a breville unit that came...

All the people who got this thread confused with the thread for the refurb and commented here screwed me up. I purchased this one accidentally instead of the refurb one that I wanted. Guess I should...

If you have an Ollie's near you, they are selling a Refurbished Elemental 13-Cup Food Processor (FP-13DGMFR) for $49.99. They don't have really a link directly to the item on their site, but you can...

You're right the bowl costs as much as the processor. These do wear out over time. Any other brand where this isn't a issue?

Just bought one this week. Surprised during unpacking to find a "Factory Refurbished" sticker on the inner box. The unpacked processor, bowls, and blades appear to be perfectly new. This model is...

Decided to go with this one, it's more heavy duty and people have said they've gotten great looking units. Price new is almost 2x that of the 11 cup.

There's a reason this is so cheap. It's very cheaply made. The mating surface between the bowl and the teeth is plastic, and the mechanism that attaches the bowl is prone to breaking. Also, the...

I have the same problem, old Cuisinart with broken lid, I feel like it's so dumb and eco-unfriendly to have to replace it, but economically... of course, they probably don't make em like they...
