Thanks. She’d have to learn. We have iPhone SE 3rd gen and our friends with androids have 10x better quality photos and you just point and shoot. That’s what I’m hoping to achieve

Depends on how well you can use the camera in a manual mode. If you don’t know much about camera settings and lighting, latest smartphones will likely yield better results.

Just a note: this camera doesn't have a viewfinder. It's just the screen on the back, which is fine for most, but if you want the viewfinder, got to go up a model to the z50.
