It doesn't force anything, you can play the game alone but you'll run into other players in the world- whether you choose to play alone vs with someone else is entirely up to you.

As short as the game is, people including myself find it worth it at full price - so at $2, just buy it, and play it some time you have a few hours of quiet time to mindfully engage with something.

It's hard to explain but it's not a single player nor a co-op game in the sense you're thinking... it's a little of both and you really have little control of which one it ends up being but the co-op...

Matter of opinion I suppose. I think it's a great game - just finishes way too soon. I would absolutely love to see a remake in an updated gfx engine with ray tracing.
