This is not much of a deal for the price. 250w hub, no hydraulic brakes, not even a headlight?
Compare this to a Lectric XP light which is within $100 of this iirc.

I wish these were more universally implemented like the EBIKE act. Maybe this would incentiveize more bikes and bike lanes and less cars when possible.
