I’m using X60’s at the moment, and have one unit that is connected to the main unit about 350 feet away and it still shows a “medium” signal. It’s pretty much clear line of sight minus a few trees.

I covered our 2 story with 2x UAP-AC-HD that I got for $45 each on eBay, using CGW Ultra as router. I know, wifi 5 only, but I have 350/350 fiber, so good enough.
