I received my unit in the same way. Mine was definitely a refurbished unit. Had a couple of scuffs and had 14 hours on the clock. Working perfectly so can't complain!

I registered on Epson's website and my warranty is 8 months. Somebody in the (real) EF12 thread said they were good through Nov 2025. So it seems the warranty lengths are all over the place....

Go to settings , then go to info , i guess 2nd menu option, then submenu to lamp information , it will show lamp hours.

Well... the Wemax Dice can do that. I've seen it on sale here for $200 refurb. The only downsides of it are that it's DLP and not as bright as the Epsons. I have one and have been very happy with it....

I had a box within a box (with bubble wrap in the second box). In the Epson refurb box, it was ceran wrapped in place so nothing inside could move around. Might be a while before I can really test...

I assume ur previous projectors are bulb ones? Those need time to warm up the bulb so it can reach the right brightness. It isn’t a problem with laser projectors (which this is). Laser projectors...
