That is correct. In the case of freezer frost that happens as well. I did not have freezer frost build up fortunately. I only had the fridge frost issue.

I’ve had this fridge for over a year. No problems whatsoever. I love how spacious it is and how consistent it keeps temperature. If you can get it for $799 I think that is a slickdeal

To add to this....the drawer freezer tends to get itself skewed, which adds to the ice build up. Regularly check that the drawer is sealing evenly.
