Its not heavy enough for heavy winds. Building 4 small concrete slabs is super easy and stronger

1. This is steel not aluminum, so it will eventually rust. Especially the legs. 2. This is lightweight with hollow legs. You need to add gravel to them to make them heavier if possible. 3. Must be...

I have a gas firepit under this- it's fine. Just don't get the heat really cranked up, but I would imagine you'd need a substantial fire to do any damage. Wood- I think your biggest issue would be...

It's not a permanent structure so you shouldn't need a permit but check with your local building department if you are worried.

Any thoughts on these Polycarbonate roof panels as opposed to metal roofs, which are obviously more money. Curious how they would stand up to windy conditions or would these type of panels just fly...

This metal roof thing seems to last forever once it's mounted properly, not like cheap canvas top that rarely lasts more than a year. I had it installed on my newly built deck made of high quality...

the 12ft side, outside post to outside post is 130"+ so i dont think a 10' pad will work.

am I understanding correctly that 12x10 is the roof dimensions? Are the dimensions of the posts listed? Wondering if this could be secured to a 10x10 concrete pad or if I'd need to expand it

"An added feature includes a vented double roof that promotes air circulation." You mean that? I can't imagine a small wood burner would be an issue with open sides and a vented roof?

I don’t see a “vent” on the top. The one I posted has a vent, but the price is much higher than this deal.

anyone know if the installation typically requires any sort of permit with the city?

Get some long screw-in ground anchors to help hold this to the ground if putting it on grass and are worried about it blowing away. My neighbor had a 10x20 carport blow over our 6ft fence and into my...

Common sense?

I would say it would be difficult to assemble if not in flat/even ground as holes would not line up.

I've owned three of these in various forms- one canvas roof, and two metal roofs. They've all pretty much been parachutes in Ohio weather. They were awesome while they lasted- but they last metal...

Would it be safe to put a small gas (or even wood) firepit under this? Wasn't sure if having the open sides and vent on top was enough.

This needs to be anchored to something stable, such as a concrete slab or footings, or a stable deck. It needs to be relatively level, but not necessarily perfect.
