I used to put sunflower seeds in my feeder but all I got was sparrows on Long Island. I switched to nyjer and safflower and now I see mostly finches and a few cardinals.

It's a 40 pound mix for around $25. They only sell this one bag. I'm not sure of the composition, but it appears to be mostly sunflower seeds. It's gone quickly.
