Got this a few months ago and it's crap. Basically falling apart and I only used it a couple times a week. Definitely get a safety opener instead.

Opened a 6-oz can of salmon last night without watching any videos. The can's crimp was kind of rounded, and wouldn't let me lift the can into the air - it took me a handful of seconds to learn that...

Stainless steel isn't rust proof. You could buy an expensive set of silverware and have the same thing happen if you let them frequently stay wet.

Thank you for sharing. I have not seen this before. I bought one to test it out, thanks to your suggestion.

Amazon tells me this is the exact model I bought, almost exactly a year ago, still works like new, no rust! And it's $1 cheaper now then when I bought it a year ago, take that, inflation!

same here - i had to look it up - i'd be helpless with no internet :( the trick is you have to clip the opener on the lid and then lift the can up with the opener so that it's "hanging" from the...

I have one of these and apparently, I'm too dumb to figure out how to use it!

From what I've seen, trying to use a regular one for side-cutting usually produces much more of a jagged, dangerously sharp edge on the can than these do. As I have no manual dexterity whatsoever,...

Usually (not 100%) the side cut lid can be lifted off without getting any food on my fingers, so yet another plus. but your point about the magnet is still valid. just more so for the regular...

I don't know if mine is the exact specific one linked, just same-looking, but it's held up well, no rust yet. Unlike regular can openers, the side opening ones don't get food all over them (usually)...

I bought a “nice” kitchen aid can opener and it feels solid. Only thing is that it’s developed rust after a few washings. How’s this one holding up?

I don't understand why every can opener doesn't have a magnet on it to get the lid. Even the side cut, whose lid shouldn't be sharp and shouldn't fall inside, should still have a magnet if for no...
