He said outlook was available that is why I tossed out my idea. Your right about how the recipients show things differently. There is no universal way to do this.

A way for you to set it for when you send it no, A way for him to set it so on a condition that it will be red maybe depends on the email client. Outlook can do this, gmail can get a color label.
