It's not splitting hairs. Those cameras had point and shoot sized sensors and the not able to change out lens. Splitting hairs is saying the A33 is not a DSLR because it doesn't reflect the image...

The lens is made by sigma. It isnt as sharp as the sony, but I like the colors of the images better.
