Judging by this site, it is possible to find a little bit cheaper but still decent hotels. So, 7 nights at hotel would probably cost around 600-700$.

These are terrible ideas. The guy is on a honeymoon with his wife. Stay some place nicer and don't play poker. Poker room rates require at least 4-6 hours poker per day.

Why not? Price for being in the dead center of the strip is amazing. Rooms aren't super fantastic, but the only thing I did in the room was pass out after being awake for 20+ hours.
