I already answered this previously...I ordered the $129 set I put in the original post. The box literally says Gourmet on it, so there is absolutely NO DIFFERENCE (besides them trying to charge you...

Only reasons for a temp limit like that are if it has plastic handles or non-stick coatings. SS pieces that don't have either of those should be fine to much higher temps (450-500+). *keyword:...

The markings on the bottom of the pots/pans do say 'Made in China'.

You're welcome, hope it helps in any way! Hmm... recipes... I don't really use any. I just cook based on what I find in the fridge/pantry at the time, tasting as I go. (And making sure to drink...

Thank you so much. Printing this out. I am a newbie cook. This helps so much. If you posted a simple recipe or sauce to try that would be awesome. But I do not want to ask too much....

I JUST received the set ($129) and it says on the box "Tramontina Gourmet", so it is indeed the same as the one that is $149. To answer the other question...the box says on the outside "Made in...

"Cuisinart" refers to a whole bunch of different quality pots and pans. Without stating which line and which regular price, your comments are easily disregarded as coming from a source of ignorance.

Cuisinart is a better value at it's regular price compared to this set on sale.

I have a degree in culinary arts and have this cookware. You can't beat this cookware given the price. It works on induction stoves also. Great stuff.

Buy both, get ship to store. Open er up, see if any are in Brazil. If so, keep one, return the other. If both China, keep the cheaper one. Or return both. Not too hard.

Can anyone verify where the set in this deal is made? On the Tramontina web site the Gourmet set still says made in Brazil. I would be willing to pay the extra $20 if the Gourmet set is made in...
