The reason why it is ethical is because the market sets the price. If all the dumb asses that trade in their games for $20 would stop then GS would have to raise their prices or have no stock.

Sell it for parts on ebay or locally. I've sold RROD systems on ebay before with good results. A new system is pretty cheap so its not really worth it to be deceptive.

you can always try the towel trick to get it working and then bring it into gamestop. basically you wrap it in a towel so it overheats. i've done this as a temp fix for a different 360 error.

I have repaired many of these things in my time using the $5 kits at Amazon. I had one last about a year after fixing, he was a trooper and something special. Named him Blinky.
