Sell it for parts on ebay or locally. I've sold RROD systems on ebay before with good results. A new system is pretty cheap so its not really worth it to be deceptive.

you can always try the towel trick to get it working and then bring it into gamestop. basically you wrap it in a towel so it overheats. i've done this as a temp fix for a different 360 error.
