Then turn it off! Indexing makes a huge difference for spinning drives, and a tiny difference for SSDs.

I think hes saying once you rip the image, you should be able to copy the image to the ssd in 30 seconds.

350MB/sec? Nice number, but is it close to reality? You should be able to duplicate a ful 4.7 GB DVD image in about 30 seconds at that speed. Is your system performance close to that?
