The key with a buffet is if you're actually going to really eat that much anyway. If you're a moderate eater, you're likely not going to get your money's worth.

You should be able to eat and drink pretty cheaply there. Hit the buffets in casinos to eat, and gamble just a bit to get some free drinks

If you want drinks for free, just hit up a casino and play some cheap slots. There's also numerous 2 for 1 drink coupons pretty much everywhere you go and tons of happy hours.
