I pay 80 bucks per year with my droid 2 on page plus... granted I'm not very popular. I'd like to pay more and ditch the home cable but these low data caps of 2 and 3 GB... blah. Ripoff is what phone...

Well the flash is done with the Verizon software for Moto G so it can take Verizon OTA updates.
I have flashed two Moto G phones myself and it's not complicated at all. Has the price gone back up...

Negative. I have them shut off. The update would wipe out the flash. So any updates that you do, you would have to re-flash it.

Depends where you are. If you're in the city, chances are AT&T or T-Mobile MVNO will be fine...but if you travel a lot or live in fringe areas...you can't beat the Verizon towers coverage.

Finally, the .99/MB was better than Verizon's 1.99/MB, but now we're at some realistic prices. Will probably keep my PP phone in the car as a spare when I forget my main phone.

Yep, that's where I'm at, three lines on the $30 plan for 500MB/1200 minutes/3000 texts. Suits our needs fine, and VZW has the best coverage in my podunk town.

I just got my wife a Moto G on PP for similar - $30 for 500mb of data + some thousand or so minutes/texts. It came down to wanting VZ towers, so PP is really it.
