I have a bunch of defective seagates too. Backblaze doesn't rate seagates esp the 3TB very highly.... Hitachi seems to be the best one according to them

Huh.... Pretty odd. Most laptop hard drives are OEM and thus does not go through the hard drive maker for rma. Hell, most desktops too. What clients do you have that buy retail hard drives this...

When I had COX Cable last year there was a 100 GB per month data limit. A few years before that when I had AT&T DSL there was a 50 GB per month limit.

pretty sure no one has data "quotas"... typical sd loser response with no real world basis in fact. Currently running approximately 64 TB's of Seagates and have no problems what so ever..

These drives are great once broken out. Not sure how useful the 200gb backup is. Unless you're on comcast, most of us have data quotas
