I tried using the above HF solder iron for a very small solder job and it is totally junk. Bought a better one from Home Depot and the difference was night and day.

I'm usually one of the first ones to sigh exasperatedly when someone says that you can get the same thing at HF for less, but a cheap soldering iron is a cheap soldering iron.

Heck the tip alone used to be about 4 bucks at Radio Shack. So 6 bucks for an iron ain't bad. Decent for occasional work that doesn't need to be accurate.
I would buy one, but I have so much...

If you are going to TD, at least take the time to say why. This is the bottom of the line of irons. 30 watt. But if you are only going to use it rarely, $6 is the cheapest you can find. Good reviews.
