In short, many unhappy customers. Quality of refurbishment appears to be extremely inconsistent. Some got great products. Others got lemons.
Customer service also appears to be quite unreliable. Folks were promised RMAs, but it's been about 4-10 days of wait time... So far, most if not all are still waiting.

$99 for an SE is simply being unrealistic.... $99 for a 5s is still a great deal when it is selling for like $135 (refurbished) on ebay. I have a iPhone 5s (purchased brand new for $194 with $50 at&t minute credit) and it works great with the latest IOS 10.3. If someone can use a 4 inch screen phone, go for it. For me though, I still prefer a large 5.5" screen.
But i do agree the 5s is slick worthy @ $100
