Even more strange, its only in certain counties. You can drive 5 miles over a county line, and buy the beer.

Wine though and any other types of anything harder is all sold at the State store, and they are not open on Sundays or holidays.

the county I grew up in NC was a dry county.....nothing sold anywhere in the whole county at any time
