loquat syrup is a traditional chinese herbal formula that uses a loquat fruit, and usually the syrup includes, honey, licorice, ginger, and peppermint...its great for soothing your throat if it hurts or if you have a nasty cough..

about the sore throat stuff, i worked in health and nutrition for a year...i know many herbal or natural routes to feel better...way better than medicine...

MM Sounds yummy. I love alternative medicine stuff. I am surprised I never heard of it. And anything with ginger in it is a winner in my book. I love gingerberry.
