Wait. If you settle, every time you look at it you'll think of what could have been.

I'm kind of in the same boat -- when is this supply *really* going to run out for good? Ebay prices are already going up. I really regret not jumping on the Best Buy deal but I wrongly assumed that if Best buy was selling them for (whatever, I can't remember) then surely they'll be cheaper.

However, now I'm reminded of my hesitation when Logitech killed the Squeezebox products. Office Depot had the radio on closeout for $50. I assumed they'd go cheaper. They didn't. Three years later I just bought a used on on Craigslist for $60. Sigh... Mad

I'm with you. I do think prices will contine to slide down and hopefully a cache of good colors will show up. I'm waiting on this one because those colors are lame.

There's speculation that Pebble watches will have no support after this year.

Pebble released an update to decouple watch from cloud. You can continue using the watch's core functionality as long as you wish to... just don't expect any support or updates.

I like pebble more than other smart watches because I am never away from my phone, thus, I don't need watch to duplicate any features from phone. I would rather use the watch as a notification filter to answer a simple question: "do I need to take my phone out of my pocket or unplug it from my charger across the room to check what that notification was?" Pebble does this job great! Conserves battery by not doing too much other stuff and yet has an always on display to do it's primary job 24x7: Show time!

That's not a speculation anymore. Pebble has been acquired by Fitbit. But Fitbit only acquire the technology. There no further development will be done for the pebble firmware.

Which one is newer/better? Round or Time Steel? I just want a step counter than can sync with my iPhone. I don't need anything fancy. Although the custom watch face feature sounds cool.

Round is thinner and looks great! However, it also has a smaller batter ythat will need to be charged every 2-3 days. Steel is a bit bulky but has better battery life.

Also, one is round and other is rectangular. Stick Out Tongue
