Has anyone gotten this to work outside of the Kansas area?
On edit: I guess its not just Kansas, but anyone in the mid atlantic region. Which seems to be pretty big.
I used to have a NC AAA membership, and I believe their sales were specific to just the carolinas. Midatlantic is clearly a much bigger area.

My current AAA, in another part of the county, never had such low membership rates.... so guess what I'm doing? I sign up for membership and have it sent to my mother-in-law's house in NC. AAA cards works nationwide(plus Canada).... Yes, I know that's a little devious...
Anyone tried to NJ ?
total for one membership $48.80
as for renewal, as painful as it is, i just get a new membership each year. i have a lot of AAA thermoses, which i love! and hopefully the $10 gift card will be useful. and PLUS, in california is the way to go... now i have to figure out an address of someone i know in kansas....
mine's costs me $17 every billing cycle (6months).
so in addition to roadside assistance, if my car is damaged in an accident, my rental car is free till it's repaired. doesnt matter whose fault it is.

that is not correct. i have used insurance tows 10 times in past couple of years. nothing is changed for me. the only benefit with aaa is they provide more towing miles than insurance and are quick. i once waited 4 hrs for tow truck. thank god I was at home
That may or may not be true, depending on the company. I was a licensed representative of one of the major players for over three years and roadside assistance use was not considered a "claim". Use of it was not a factor in rate increases. Excessive use would likely have resulted in that individual coverage being removed by the underwriters but I never witnessed it.
