to add on, I have this saw and it's a good one though it's major 'flaw' for me it does not allow for a dado blade.

Gr8 price for this little guy. It's their medium sized saw with 24.5" rip fence extension.
I'd still say go for the 7490 with the wider fence extender and deeper blade ingress for safety.
But if you want pickup truck portability, this is the one to get.

Great deal on this saw. Ordered a 7480 and with SYW points, got the price down to $170. Problem is that it's still in pick up in store status after two weeks. Prepare to wait and hope it's shipped before Sears goes belly up.

Same here. Sears screwed up my online order as usual and replaced it with a store pickup, which is still processing after 2 weeks. You can buy this saw shipped now, then pick up the one in store and return it with this receipt.

Sears SUCKS. I have given up on them. I have an order from December that still has not been completed (ship to store).

Mine showed a pick up delivery 3 weeks out but it ended up coming after around a week. I used it this weekend and enjoyed it. I also used all the points and got my wife a cruiser bike because I wanted to use the points before they magically disappeared. Hopefully your saw gets there soon. With those SYW points it made it a great deal.

Yeah, I have it and agree... The dado would be perfect, but I saw a Youtube video of someone making a dado cut for shaker style cabinet doors by flipping the board... I haven't tried it yet, though

Anyone know any DIY video/articles for making a stand for this? Dont want to pay another $100 for one. ☺️

That's good to hear. Pick up superviser @ Sears said it would be here Thursday, but I'm not holding my breath, so to speak. My primary concern is rip cuts in a flooring project. Prefer a table saw over a circular.

Not quite as good as the YMMV I've been able to snag two out of the last 3 years of clearanced Black Friday markdowns in February/ March ($224 and $179 for those wondering) but a screaming good deal nonetheless. The thing that really makes these saws shine is the rack and pinion fence adjustment. That feature in and of itself is worth $200 in my opinion. Other than that, it is a solid (albiet small) saw.
Edit: The deals I referenced above were for the DW745 which has nowhere near the rip capacity that this does.

got this saw 2 weeks ago for $345 and $165 back in SYW points. then I rolled those 2 week expiring points into 3 month expiring points with the Crock-Pot/food processor rolling 100% back in points deal. it was a great week.

I agree with the above statements about dado blades on this saw. that was my biggest letdown. though, I did read that you could effectively do a smaller dado stack on this saw. and if you can do a thinner dado cut, you should be able to just move the cut over little but little and effectively make a wide dado cut with a few smaller grooves cut side by side.

The order will never process. I have been through this scenario multiple times with Sears and received notification from several representatives that orders that remain unprocessed for 60 days will, literally, never process. They will just remain in limbo forever. You won't get a refund either if you paid anything OOP for it. Sears will just keep repeating that they never charged you even though they charged you. It's infuriating.
